.Fast Fingers.
In our past activitie we encouter trying this link http://speedtest.10-fast-fingers.com/ . In here see how fast your fingers can type in only one minute. Its fun trying it all over again. Besides of having fun, you'll type faster as you repeat the test all over.
.The History of Computers.
Over thousands of years ago, the computers as we know progressed greatly. From the first materials used for counting until it continue to grow with technology.
The earliest form of counting was with fingers. Humans used some objects such as rocks and twigs to represent group of numbers.
After many years, the Abacus is discovered. the users move beads to perform calculations.
The Pascaline it is the first digital computer invented by Blaise Pascal. It used hand-spun mechanical wheels to input numbers, then output them as the answer.
Gottfried Leibniz then created the Step Reckoner as the improvement of Pascal's machine.
A mechanical calculator that operated automatically was invented by Charles Babbage called the Difference Engine.
Analytical Engine, the first fully-automatic calculating machine constructed by the British computing pioneer Charles Babbage can store data in the memory and perform logical comparison.
The First Generations (1940-1956) using the Vacuum Tubes. The computers are big, electricity consumption are high and solve problems one at a time are some characteristics of the first generation of computers. (ENIAC, UNIVAC, UAC, EDVAC and ASCC)
The Second Generation(1956-1963) using the Transistors. The computers are smaller, no warm up time, less energy, faster, more reliable and uses magnetic core. (Magnetic Core and UNIVAC III)
The Third generation(1964-1971) using the Integrated Circuits. The computers used Silicon chips called SEMI-CONDUCTORS, increase in speed and efficiency, power consumption lower and high level languages appeared.
The Fourth Generation(1971 to Present) using Microprocessors. The computer's integrated circuits are smaller and faster, portable computers are developed and great development in communication.(INTEL 4004 and Graphical User Interface)
The Fifth Generation(Present and beyond) they are only in the minds of advance research scientists and being tested out in the laboratories.

.The Computer System.
One of our lessons in our TLE class is about the Parts of the Computer.
The Hardware are the parts of the computer which you can see and touch. Some examples of computer hardwares are the monitor, motherboard, CPU, RAM, printer, scanner, keyboard, mouse, wireless router and many more kinds of hardware.
Software on the other hand are the part of computer that instructs and tell the hardware what to do. There are two categories of Computer software, the Application and System software. The System Software is the programs that work automatically once you open or boot your computer. It controls software that operates the hardware and allows the application to run. The Application Software is is the general designation of computer programs for performing user tasks. Some examples of Application Software are the word processing, numerical analysis and storage, recording of data, designing and graphics, image processing, presentations, desktop publishing and web design.
I've also learned in this lesson that Hardware needs Software to be useful; the Software needs Hardware to be useful.
.The Most Exhausting Exercise.
The most tiresome exercise was the one that we just have finished this August 15,2011. I just finished it this afternoon, but I don't know if what I did was right. I do not understand the directions even if I read it several times already. The numbering is always wrong, I do not get why.The exercise almost took us 3 days. I thought I could not pass it on the right time.
Now after sending the email to mam cathy the only thing im thinking of is to pass the exercise.

.My Learning About Entrepreneurship.
The first lesson in our TLE subject is about an Entrepreneur. An Entrepreneur is an individual who accepts financial risks and under takes new financial ventures. They are the one who takes on the risks, proper planning and being creative.
The three clusters of Personal Entrepreneurial Competencies are the achievement Cluster, Planning Cluster and Power Cluster. Opportunity-Seeking, Commitment to the work contract, Persistent, Risk taker, Demand for quality and efficiency and Consistence are Achievement Clusters characteristics. Planning Cluster is made up of these characteristics, The Goal Setting, Information Seeking, Systematic Planning and Monitoring. While Persuasion , Networking and Self-Confidence are under the Power Cluster. These are the characteristics of a successful entrepreneur...:))

.My High school Life.
My first high school experience makes me think that maybe in my high school life I might face new problems specially now that I may not know a lot of people when I start high school. Some friends from middle school are going to different schools.Even if I know other freshmen, I feel nervous that I don't know other upperclassmen. :))
